- "Smart About..." series (ex. Smart About Pierre Auguste Renoir: Paintings That Smile by True Kelley) - my daughter LOVES these books - they are written like a book report from a student to a teacher - there are also books about other subjects besides just artists
- Getting to Know The World's Greatest Artists series by Mike Venezia - these are just very entertaining and informational, too - and, I like that these 2 series compliment each other as you learn different things in each book
- Monet and the Impressionists for Kids: Their Lives and Ideas by Carol Sabbeth - I've been reading the background info as my friend has been teaching this subject
- Picture This! Activities and Adventures in Impressionism by Joyce Raimondo - covers the art of Monet, Renoir, Degas, Pissarro, and Cassatt both with information about them and activities to do
- Visiting the Art Museum by Brown - this isn't specifically about Impressionists, but it covers lots of types of art and my daughter has read it over & over again - great book!
- Squeaking of Art: The Mice Go To the Art Museum by Wellington - again, this isn't specifically about the Impressionists, but it's a good book that my daughter really enjoyed
- Linnea in Monet's Garden video - very good - it's a mixture of real photos (like of Monet), cartoons, and real video footage (like of his garden) - made us want to visit Monet's garden in person!
- The Magical Garden of Claude Monet by Anholt - another nice book that makes me want to visit his garden in person someday

Impressionists - Resources
Our very small co-op (2 moms/3 girls) has been studying the Impressionists. I thought I'd share some of my favorite resources.
