Book Review: The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans

The Christmas Box was the first of two Christmas books I read by Richard Paul Evans last month. This was a very quick read with large print and blank pages between the chapters. It probably took me about an hour to read it. And, It was a very touching Christmas story, though I thought the reading was a little choppy.

The Christmas Box is a story about a young family who move in with a widow lady and do some chores in exchange for rent. But, what is the mystery of the Christmas box? And what secret is the widow keeping? And, what is the first Christmas gift?

I have this book and I think 2 sequels. Have you seen the movie with Richard Thomas and Maureen O'Hara? It is beautiful and moving. The music is beautiful. It's my favorite Christmas movie.
If I recall, the author wrote this as a gift to his daughter and family and friends encouraged him to publish it.
