If You Take Your Daughter to a Swim Meet

If you take your daughter to a swim meet...
it might last 7 hours...
and it might rain for 5 of those hours...
and your tent might leak...
and all of your stuff might get soaked...
and you might throw it all in the washing machine...
and you might end up with an umbrella that looks like this...

I guess there should be a label on umbrellas telling you to "hand wash only."

Thanks for the huge smile this morning!
Btw, our swim team practices start today. We will not be attending. Cade still has fencing for the next three weeks on Mondays. And I don't do double sports on the same nights.

Hi Dana! My umbrellas do that all the time whether there is any water around or not. LOL
I put up a new background today of Rocky Mountains and shared some old photos of horseback riding in RMNP. I'll be trying out new looks while getting over the learning curve and deciding on a format that I like the most for tweaking. I've been told that the administrators will have my categories working today. When that happens I will work on restoring my sidebar. Although it's quite the learning curve, I am finding this new platform to be more user friendly and has more fun features!

Too funny...sad to of course! Every activity has it's inherit dangers. :o) I can't tell you how many pairs of dress shoes have been left behind at speech and debate tournaments!

I agree with your other reader...my umbrellas look like that on a regular basis. I love your play on the words of If you Give a Mouse a Cookie. That was my children's favorite story!

Thanks so much for your sweet comments! They mean a lot to me!
